Who we are

Savee is a closed community for designers. No ads, no noise. Built by designers, for designers, and supported by the community. This policy covers how Savee, Inc. handles your information when you use savee.com and our apps, browser extension, and plugins (the "Services").

What we collect

Account

You sign in with Google, Apple, or a magic link. We get your name and email from that sign-in, and your profile picture if the provider shares it. If you use Apple Hide My Email, we get the relay address Apple gives us. We never share your info with them for ads. See Google user data below for exactly what we get from Google.

What you do on Savee

Saves (the images and videos you collect), boards, comments, and how you use the product. Accounts are personal, not shared. Teams are shared boards, comments, and a dedicated feed — not a separate kind of account.

Device and logs

Device, IP address, and browser information we need to run the service, keep you logged in, and stop abuse.

Payments

If you subscribe, a payment processor handles your payment details. We receive what we need to keep the subscription running (for example, that a charge succeeded), not your full card number.

Where you work

Your employer or school and your role. We learn this from your email domain, your profile, and service providers that enrich data for us (for example, matching a work email to a company and job title).

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • Run Savee — your account, saves, boards, comments, and Teams
  • Show related content: more like what you just saved, using tags, context, and visual cues. Curation is taste, not an ads algorithm
  • Keep the product working, secure, and free of spam
  • Send service email (magic links, account notices). You can write us anytime
  • Process a subscription if you have one
  • Understand where members work and what they do, so we can offer Team plans to their companies and schools
  • Send product news, announcements, and offers about Savee, including Team plans. You can turn these off anytime (see Your choices)

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads.

Google user data

This section covers the data Savee gets when you sign in with Google, with the Google button or Google One Tap.

What we access

Only basic sign-in information: your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID. We request only the standard openid, email, and profile permissions. We do not ask for or access your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data, and we cannot post or act on your behalf in Google.

How we use it

  • Create your Savee account and sign you in
  • Show your name and picture on your profile (your Google picture becomes your avatar until you change it)
  • Email you at that address: service email, and product news if it is on in your settings
  • Keep your account secure and stop duplicate or abusive accounts

How we share it

We do not sell Google user data. We share it only with the service providers listed in "We do not sell your data" below, who process it for us, or when the law requires it. We never share Google user data with sales, marketing, or data enrichment providers, and we never transfer it to data brokers or information resellers.

How we store and protect it

It is stored with the rest of your account on our servers in the U.S. and protected as described in "How we protect it" below.

How long we keep it and how to delete it

We keep it while your account is open. When you delete your account in settings, or ask us at hey@savee.com, we delete your name, email, picture, and Google account ID along with the rest of your account, except where the law requires us to keep something. You can also remove Savee's access at any time from your Google Account connections.

Limited Use

Savee's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, including targeted, personalized, or retargeted ads. We do not sell it, use it to decide credit-worthiness or for lending, or use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies so you can stay logged in and the site can run, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics and PostHog) to understand how Savee is used so we can improve it. We do not use ad pixels or advertising cookies. There is no separate cookie policy — this section is it.

We do not sell your data

We never sell your information. We share it only with service providers working for us, and they see only what they need to do their job: hosting, email, payments, product analytics, and sales and marketing tools, including data enrichment providers (never with data we get from Google sign-in). They may use it only to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes. We do not run ads, so there are no ad networks or ad-preference controls. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How we protect it

All traffic to Savee is encrypted in transit with HTTPS (TLS). Your data is stored on servers with restricted access, and only the Savee staff who need it to run and support the service can reach it. Payment card details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.

Your choices

Update your profile and settings in your account. You can delete your account there, or email us.

Product news and offers are on by default. Turn off "News & announcements" in your settings or use the unsubscribe link in any email. To opt out of sales outreach or of us looking up where you work, write hey@savee.com and we will stop. Service email (magic links, account notices) keeps coming while your account is open.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may also ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or object to processing, by writing hey@savee.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Legal basis (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

  • Contract: running your account, saves, boards, comments, Teams, and subscription
  • Legitimate interests: keeping Savee secure and free of spam, showing related content, understanding where members work to offer Team plans, and telling members about Savee. You can object to any of these, and opting out of marketing is always honored
  • Consent, where the law requires it. You can withdraw it anytime
  • Legal obligation, when the law requires us to keep or disclose data

Age

Savee is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

How long we keep it

We keep account and content data while your account is open. When you delete your account (in settings, or by writing hey@savee.com), we delete your profile, saves, boards, and comments. We keep something only for a short time if we need it to finish a request, fix abuse, or meet a legal duty. Logs are kept only as long as we need them to run and protect the service.

Where data lives

Savee is operated from the United States. If you use Savee from elsewhere, your information is processed in the U.S.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will post the update here. Keep using Savee after that and you accept the new version.
